Ply thickness
There is evidence that ply thickness can affect composite performance and this is of interest to us here at Triple H as SK make extremely good quality, very uniform prepreg down to 20gsm at 1 metre wide. We always have 30gsm and 50gsm in stock. SK and ourselves are currently sponsoring academic research to help clarify the benefits of thin plies. Thin plies have many applications where they can add strength with minimal weight whether it be high performance sports equipment or high speed rotors.
